    Paparazzi May Pay The Price

Rosie O’Donnell recently blogged to Britney Spears’s defense, calling the paparazzi a “mob of stalkers for whom no laws have been written.”  Of course, you know this isn’t true because you read this previous Popsquire post describing some of the laws that specifically apply to paparazzi.

And now, the law strikes again!  According to the LA Times, four paparazzi drivers were arrested last night for reckless driving.

    Popsquire’s perspective…

Vehicle Code 23103 makes it illegal to voluntarily drive a motor vehicle with an intentional or conscious disregard for the safety of persons or property.

If convicted of reckless driving, potential consquences could include 90 days in jail and a fine of $1000.00.  It also counts as two points on a person’s driving record.

Popsquire has picked the perfect song for Britney’s ongoing battle/love affair with the paparazzi… this Billy Ocean classic, “Get Out Of My Dreams, Get Into My Car.”  Enjoy!

Yes, CA has some very limited pap. laws, but they were not applied in this case. Motor vehicle laws were the source of the arrests.

[...] Contrary to Harvey’s contention, this is hardly the LAPD’s “first stand.” Perhaps Senor Levin should brush up on Popsquire because then he’d know that the LAPD arrested four paparazzi on Jan. 16, as described in this previous post. [...]
